Summary

Eurasia Foundation (EF) is accepting applications for an expert to design and develop an original curriculum for an online course on Community Engagement and Accountability program. EF seeks individuals with experience and expertise in designing and instructing leadership training courses for CSOs and NGOs in closed societies. Knowledge of advocacy and coalition-building is a plus. The expert is responsible for identifying the key concepts of the course, as well as designing and producing the content. This six-week course focuses on participatory decision-making and inclusiveness in local and international contexts. The course is intended to empower CSO and NGO leaders to create a tight and efficient working relationship with their constituents.

Duties

  • Review, analyze, and localize international best practices for civil society actors, in terms of benefits of participatory decision-making in the nonprofit and public sectors
  • Introduce basic process of participatory decision-making for CSOs 
  • Identify major challenges in applying participatory decision making techniques  
  • Introduce feasible strategies to overcoming the challenges of applying participatory decision-making in local CSOs
  • Enable CSO leaders to produce strategic guidelines for creating advocacy campaigns with constituent input and their direct engagement 
  • Determine weekly topics and subtopics and learning goals for each week in coordination with the Program staff
  • Design content and course structure with the aim of creating an engaging online learning environment for remote participants in coordination with Program staff
  • Design practical assignments that will achieve the course’s desired learning outcomes by assisting participants’ build up their organizational capacity
  • Develop weekly content, including readings, forum discussion questions, and weekly assignments in line with course objectives
  • Further information about curriculum design expectations will be discussed during the interview process

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in education, social sciences, management, or a related area required
  • Combination of education and years of experience is an acceptable substitute
  • Strong demonstrated experience and background in professional trainings
  • Experience with developing online learning pedagogy, particularly towards practical social learning, networking, and inclusivity
  • Ideal candidates have relevant working experience in Farsi-speaking countries
  • Fluency in written and spoken Persian/Farsi is a plus
