EF is seeking an expert to design and develop curriculum for online courses on civic education subject matters, youth engagement and service learning for a cohort of Iranian teachers and educators. EF seeks individuals with experience and expertise in ‘training the trainers’ methodology. The expert is responsible for identifying the key concepts of the courses, designing and producing the content to promote the application of citizenship and youth engagement in classrooms.


  • Design content and course structure with the aim of creating an engaging online learning environment for remote educators;
  • Determine weekly topics and subtopics and learning goals for each week;
  • Develop weekly content, including activities, main readings, forum discussions and weekly assignments;
  • Work with the program staff to revise the content if necessary to ensure that content is clear, technically accurate, and engaging;
  • Provide clear assignment policies, expectations, and due dates.


  • Minimum master’s degree or equivalent in education or a related area;
  • Combination of education and years of experience acceptable;
  • Strong demonstrated experience and background in education and training the trainer methodology;
  • Experience with developing online learning pedagogy, particularly towards social learning and networking in the online format;
  • Ideal candidates have relevant working experience in Iran;
  • Fluency in written and spoken Persian/Farsi a plus.
