Summary

EF is seeking an expert to facilitate online courses for a period between six to eight weeks on civic education subject matters, youth engagement, and service learning for a cohort of Iranian teachers and educators. Individual should have experience and expertise in ‘training the trainers’ methodology. The expert is responsible for facilitation of the key concepts of the courses to promote the application of citizenship and youth leadership in classrooms. 

Duties

  • Instruct distance-learning participants for six to eight week courses and respond to participants and staff inquires within a 24- 48 hours period;
  • Assist teachers in developing accurate and detailed critical thinking and citizenship skills;
  • Seed discussion questions in forums, answer forum questions pro-actively and help teachers by providing advice and resources;
  • Introduce additional resources to course participants as secondary reading materials;
  • Evaluate the pre and post course exams in order to ascertain the knowledge gained by each course participant;
  • Provide an assessment framework for the course, including recommendations for changes in content, structure and activities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Master’s degree or equivalent in Education or a related area;
  • Strong demonstrated experience and background in education and training the trainer methodology;
  • Experience with teaching online learning pedagogy, particularly towards social learning and networking in the online format;
  • Ideal candidates have relevant working experience in Iran;
  • Fluency in written and spoken Persian (Farsi) is required. Fluency in written and spoken English is a plus.
