Summary

Eurasia Foundation (EF) is accepting applications for an expert to design and develop an original curriculum for an online course on Social Entrepreneurship for Person with Disabilities (PwD) program. EF seeks individuals with experience and expertise in designing and instructing leadership training courses for civil society actors and social entrepreneurs – especially those working in the field of PwD rights – in closed societies. Knowledge of business development and startups is a plus. The expert is responsible for identifying the key concepts of the course and designing and producing the content. This five-week course is intended to introduce participants to the legal framework of PwD rights along with emerging trends in social entrepreneurship.

Duties

  • Design the course curriculum including:
    • Determine weekly topics and subtopics and learning goals for each week in coordination with the Program Officer
    • Develop weekly content, including readings, forum discussion questions, and weekly assignments in line with course objectives
    • Design content and course structure with the aim of creating an engaging online learning environment for remote participants in coordination with Program staff
    • Design practical assignments that will achieve the course’s desired learning outcomes
    • Find and incorporate relevant case studies in the field of PwD social entrepreneurship and PwD social enterprises
    • Make revisions based on feedback from the program officer
    • Further information about curriculum design expectations will be discussed during the interview process

 

Qualifications

Experience: Strong demonstrated experience and background in professional training; Experience with developing online learning pedagogy, particularly towards practical social learning, networking, and inclusivity.

Education: Master’s degree or equivalent in education, social sciences, management, or a related area required; Combination of education and years of experience is an acceptable substitute.

Other: Ideal candidates have relevant working experience in Farsi-speaking countries; Fluency in written and spoken Persian/Farsi is a plus.
