Intern, Digital Game Exchange Program

The Digital Game Exchange Program of Eurasia Foundation is seeking a bilingual intern fluent in Farsi and English. Under supervision of the Program Officer, the Intern will assist with the program activities, player recruitment and engagement, game content generation, translation, and preparing progress reports. S/he will also assist with adding to and monitoring social media and website analytics, conducting surveys, and drafting and distributing marketing materials.


  • Carry out cultural research in order to prepare content for the Digital Game Exchange Program;
  • Carry out outreach and player recruitment research; 
  • Assist with the preparation of the recruitment and engagement plans; 
  • Conduct outreach efforts, including website and social media updates;
  • Support player recruitment for the game;   
  • Assist with reviewing the program’s applications; 
  • Maintain frequent contact with program participants / players and alumni;
  • Review program’s website analytics and provide updates to the program’s team;
  • Post relevant content on social media on regular basis;
  • Assist with preparing progress reports on quarterly basis;
  • Translate documents as needed. 


  • Bachelor’s Degree in international development, training and education or other related fields preferred;
  • Strong communication, research and writing skills;
  • Strong interest in the Middle East, particularly in the areas of youth empowerment and intercultural exchange;
  • Software skills strongly desired: advanced MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite (including InDesign and Photoshop), familiarity with social media tools and platforms;
  • Fluency in English and Farsi/Dari required;
  • Creative and analytical thinkers preferred;
  • Excitement about bringing virtual exchange to mobile platforms a bonus;
  • The candidate selected for the position must meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the time the appointment begins and be able to continue working legally for the proposed term of employment.
