Summary

Eurasia Foundation (EF), a US-based international development organization, is accepting applications for Program Manager for its Tashkent-based office. EF intends to re-register a branch office in Tashkent.

 

Duties

  • Manage branch office re-registration process
  • Develop and implement the strategy for the successful implementation of the program
  • Manage and supervise  the work of 3 project personnel as well as subcontractors and grantees to ensure that project goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed timeframes and funding parameters
  • Manage the office operations, including adherence to all local legislation, tax filings, etc. 
  • Serve as EF’s primary liaison with US Embassy and USAID in Tashkent, national and local government authorities, international organizations, local civil society, and other stakeholders
  • Keep EF staff in Washington informed regularly on developments in the operating space in Uzbekistan

 

Qualifications

  • University degree in business, international relations or a related field
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in leading projects, ideally with a focus on capacity building of civil society organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with government officials, civil society groups, businesspeople, opinion leaders and the media at the national and local levels
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and develop staff, manage budgets and plan strategically and creatively to meet specified objectives
  • Familiarity with U.S. and/or European bilateral funding preferred
  • Strong demonstrated interpersonal, written, and oral presentation skills
  • Excellent speaking, writing, reporting and other communications skills in English; native proficiency in Uzbek required; native proficiency in Russian preferred
