Eurasia Foundation Welcomes New USAID Administrator Mark Green

August 8, 2017

Eurasia Foundation congratulates USAID Administrator Mark Green on his unanimous confirmation by the U.S. Senate. We look forward to working with USAID in Washington, D.C. and its missions to help improve lives and empower resilient communities.

“U.S. foreign assistance is necessary now more than ever to foster successful and stable societies,” said Eurasia Foundation President Horton Beebe-Center. “We are confident that Ambassador Green will provide the leadership necessary to achieve U.S. foreign assistance goals that help ensure security and economic prosperity around the world.”

“The Senate has done its job confirming such a qualified nominee on a bipartisan basis, said George Ingram, co-chair of the Modernizing Foreign Assistance Network (MFAN); senior fellow at the Brookings Institution; and trustee of Eurasia Foundation. “It’s now critical for Mark to assemble his team at a time that demands strong leadership at USAID.”
