Managing Director, Siguler Guff & Company

Drew Guff is managing director and founding principal of Siguler Guff & Company, an asset management firm that manages both domestic and international private equity funds on behalf of corporate and state pension plans, university endowments, family trusts, and other financial institutions. Mr. Guff is responsible for the firm’s emerging markets and direct investment activities, and sits on the investment committees for all of the firm’s funds.

Prior to founding Siguler Guff & Company, Mr. Guff established Russia Partners Company, L.P., the first major private equity fund investing in Russia. Previously, Mr. Guff was a principal within PaineWebber’s Merchant Banking Group, where he was engaged in structuring and managing investments on behalf of the firm. He also served for four years as assistant to PaineWebber’s president.

Mr. Guff sits on the board of directors of a number of Russia Partners’ portfolio companies. He is a board member of the U.S.-Russia Business Council and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He previously served on the board of directors of EPAM Systems, Inc., and is a trustee of the Phillips Academy Institute for the Recruitment of Teachers, which addresses the lack of diversity in the nation’s teaching faculties by recruiting outstanding students of color.

Mr. Guff holds a B.A. in economics from Harvard College.
