Co-Chairman, U.S.-Russia Foundation for Economic Advancement and the Rule of Law

Steven L. Pease is co-chair of the U.S.-Russia Foundation for Economic Advancement and the Rule of Law, chairman of the U.S. Russia Investment Fund, and a director of the U.S.-Russia Center for Entrepreneurship. All three arose from a $330 million U.S. government grant to encourage free enterprise and entrepreneurship in Russia following the demise of the Soviet Union.

Mr. Pease is also president of Deucalion Securities, Inc., a management and investment firm formed in 1980 to provide his services as a "turnaround" CEO to troubled companies. In 1987, he also formed Deucalion Venture Partners, a private equity firm where he served as general partner. He has served as CEO and COO of a number of public and private American companies in a variety of industries. He was also deputy chair of a large Russian rail transport firm in partnership with the Ministry of Rails, and served as a director of more than four dozen public and private companies and not-for-profits.

Mr. Pease is the author of The Golden Age of Jewish Achievement: The Compendium of a Culture, a People and Their Stunning Performance (Deucalion, 2000). He is a graduate of the University of Washington and Harvard Business School and lives with his wife in Sonoma, California, where he is active in community affairs.
