Lisa Coll is president and CEO of Eurasia Foundation. She has over 30 years of experience in the democracy and governance sector. Since 2001, Lisa has played a key role at Eurasia Foundation, including guiding the localization of EF’s regional offices between 2004 and 2010, and spearheading the development of the Capacity Mapping Assessment tool, an organizational assessment method custom-built for EF’s partner foundations. From 1999 to 2001, Lisa served as EF’s Central Asia Regional Director, based in Tashkent, where she oversaw a grants program in Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

Prior to joining EF, Lisa spent four years in Russia working on various development projects, including an electricity sector reform project implemented by the International Finance Corporation and a program to strengthen healthcare civil society organizations throughout the country. She holds an MA in comparative and regional studies of Russia and Central Eurasia from American University’s School of International Service and a BA in Russian language and literature from the University of Michigan.
