Summary

Eurasia Foundation (EF) is accepting applications for an expert to design an original curriculum for an online course on Advocacy Planning for Transparency. EF seeks individuals with expertise in designing and instructing a curriculum on advocacy planning and campaigning to empower civil society leaders as they seek to increase transparency and accountability in their communities through collaborative initiatives. The expert is responsible for identifying the key concepts of the courses and producing the course content in line with the objectives of program. Further information about content development will be discussed during the interview process.

Duties

  • Design the curriculum and learning materials on advocacy covering topics such as coalition building; fact checking and data collection for building evidence; crafting effective messages, conflict resolution methods and strategic engagement with media and other key stakeholders.
  • Determine weekly topics, subtopics and learning goals for each week’s lesson plan.
  • Provide content background and supplementary readings, forum questions, and weekly assignments.
  • Work with program staff to modify the content if necessary.
  • Provide clear assignment policies, expectations, and due dates.
  • Design pre and post course exams for evaluation purposes.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in international relations or a relevant field required. Experience may substitute for graduate degree.
  • Minimum five years of field experience in advocacy, policy reform, campaigning and/or grassroots organizing and movement building.
  • Training experience in advocacy and community organizing required, curriculum development experience is preferred.
  • Fluency in Farsi/Dari is preferred.
