Eurasia Foundation (EF), a US non-profit organization promoting civil society development and good governance, is accepting applications for a Program and Grants Management Assistant for the Civil Society Support Program in Central Asia (CSSP). The purpose of the program is to cultivate a vibrant and responsive citizen-oriented civil society in Central Asia.

The Program and Grants Management Assistant supports program delivery across the program’s four objectives, including strengthening youth leadership and the institutional development of civil society organizations. Based in Almaty, the position provides programmatic and administrative support for CSSP activities benefiting neighboring countries.


  • Work closely with the Technical Leads to ensure that program activities are implemented on schedule and in line with EF policies and procedures
  • Assist with program-related procurement of services/goods and ensure adherence to policy and guideline
  • Conduct outreach to project beneficiaries and maintain information/databases of participants and activities
  • Facilitate the delivery of trainings, workshops and other events by preparing materials, organizing logistics and liaising with vendors
  • Assist with the preparation of written materials, such as invitations, agendas and attendee lists
  • Assist with data collection from program beneficiaries to monitor progress towards performance targets
  • With guidance from the Technical Leads, draft sections of technical documents, including summaries of key program events, quarterly reports, annual work plans and others
  • Assist in the implementation of the full cycle of grant award and management from announcement, pre-award assessments, technical assistance to grantees and close-out in accordance with the program’s grant plan
  • Prepare award documentation for new grantees in accordance with the CSSP Grants Manual, including schedules for award reporting and payments
  • Support timely processing of cash advances and tranche payments to grantees
  • Ensure appropriate and timely financial reporting is received from grantees
  • Assist in audits of grantees
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor's degree in international relations, business or related field required; Master’s degree a plus
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with USAID sub-award policies and regulations
  • Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office365 programs required; experience with grants management software packages a plus
  • Strong attention to detail required
  • Effective people skills, positive attitude and an overall outgoing disposition
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and successfully meet deadlines while quickly producing high-quality products is essential
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Uzbek and Russian required
  • Knowledge of English strongly preferred
