Course Instructor, Building Social Enterprises to Benefit Persons with Disabilities

EF is seeking an expert to facilitate online courses for a period of six to eight weeks on social entrepreneurship to benefit persons with disabilities (PwD). The individual should have experience and expertise in utilizing social entrepreneurship approaches to address a community issue, or building social enterprises. Knowledge of human rights of persons with disabilities will be a plus. The expert is responsible for facilitation of the key concepts of the courses to assist participants in developing a social enterprise to benefit PwDs.


  • Assist participants in developing a social enterprise initiative idea to benefit PwDs
  • Assist participants to mobilize financial and human resources for their social enterprises
  • Work with course participants to conduct stakeholder mapping and strategize tailored stakeholder management based on their projects’ goals
  • Train course participants on project planning and project management principles
  • Facilitate distance-learning courses for six to eight weeks
  • Respond to participants on time
  • Seed discussion questions in forums, answer forum questions pro-actively and help participants by providing advice and resources
  • Introduce additional resources to course participants as secondary reading materials
  • Evaluate the pre and post course exams to ascertain the knowledge gained by each course participant
  • Provide an assessment framework for the course, including recommendations for changes in content, structure, and activities



  • Education: Minimum a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in business, entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, industrial engineering, management, marketing, or a related field required.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience of running an enterprise, preferably a social enterprise. Experience of social enterprises to benefit persons with disabilities will be a plus.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Excellent presentation and communication skills, great facilitation skills, positive can-do attitude; knowledge of training models will be a plus.
  • Others: Ideal candidates have relevant working experience in the Middle East; Fluency in written and spoken Farsi is required. Fluency in written and spoken English is a plus
