Summary

Eurasia Foundation (EF), a US non-profit organization promoting civil society development and good governance, is accepting applications for a Deputy Chief of Party for an anticipated USAID-funded program that will cultivate a vibrant and responsive citizen-oriented civil society in Central Asia. This position is contingent upon award of the program.

Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of experience in managing civil society development programs, preferably for an international organization
  • Deep understanding of the challenges faced by civil society organizations (CSOs) and civic activists in the Central Asia region and strategies for addressing them
  • Possess knowledge of USAID policies and regulations
  • Understanding of approaches to ensure gender mainstreaming and social inclusion
  • Master’s degree in international development, organizational development, public policy or other relevant areas of study
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English required
  • Knowledge of Russian is required; knowledge of Kazakh, Tajik, Turkmen or Uzbek a plus
