Summary

EF is seeking consultants to design and deliver up to four online courses – four-week, multi-session modules for approximately 175 students from Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan – to be delivered using Google Classroom. The consultants will leverage existing CAYLA Zoom, Facebook and Telegram channels to supplement Google Classroom activities, foster continued dialogue around course content and build strong networks among peers.

Duties

EF is seeking consultants to design and deliver up to four online courses – four-week, multi-session modules for approximately 175 students from Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan – to be delivered using Google Classroom. The consultants will leverage existing CAYLA Zoom, Facebook and Telegram channels to supplement Google Classroom activities, foster continued dialogue around course content and build strong networks among peers.EF is seeking designers and instructors for the following courses:

  • Effective Communication
  • Monitoring and Evaluation
  • Project Design and Management
  • Problem Solving and Decision-Making

Detailed module descriptions, learning outcomes and delivery timelines can be found in the annexes to this announcement. Each module is budgeted for up to 165 hours in total, as detailed below:

  • Content Development (up to 70 hours)
  • Implementation (up to 75 hours)
  • Student Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting (up to 20 hours)

Qualifications

The consultant should meet the following qualifications:

  • At least five years of experience working as a trainer, mentor or instructor in developing relevant skills with online and offline audiences (experience with cohorts in the 18-30 age bracket strongly preferred)
  • Experience in utilizing an interactive approach in delivering trainings and seminars
  • Ability to coordinate a large group of students (~175) and provide timely communication and instruction
  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in youth development, education, non-profit management or another relevant area
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills in Russian
  • Knowledge of youth leadership and youth issues of Central Asia strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of Kazakh, Turkmen, Uzbek and/or English is a plus

The consultant should demonstrate technical skills in training design and delivery, preferably in an online format; instructional design and educational technology; the preparation of instructions, training handouts, homework assignments and pre- and post-training evaluations; the use of tools for teaching online courses; and information evaluation.
