Summary

Eurasia Foundation (EF), a US non-profit organization promoting civil society development and good governance, is accepting applications for Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) for the anticipated USAID Ukraine Youth Unity Project. The DCOP will be based in Kyiv and will provide high-quality technical inputs to achieve all program objectives. This position is contingent on funding.

Duties

  • Assist the Chief of Party (COP) in overall programmatic, financial, and operational management of the program; contribute to the technical leadership, strategic vision, and management of program implementation, including monitoring and evaluation activities
  • Assist the COP in managing program staff and monitoring performance to ensure that program objectives are accomplished within prescribed timeframes and funding parameters and in compliance with USAID regulations
  • Provide technical expertise on key component areas and identify windows of opportunity for program interventions and coordinate with partners, stakeholders and donors to ensure smooth delivery of the program
  • Facilitate inclusive and gender-sensitive processes and approaches, engaging local organizations, institutions, and youth to design and implement effective activities to strengthen youth participation at community and regional levels

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field or discipline such as international development, international relations, area studies, politic science, international education, or related fields
  • Minimum eight (8) years of relevant experience in leading successful programs focused on youth empowerment, civil society, civic education, conflict reconciliation, or related fields
  • Demonstrated experience in achieving project objectives through creative and innovative methods, utilizing digital and non-traditional tools to produce cutting-edge solutions
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusive programming that engages marginalized and underserved populations and promotes tolerance and cohesion amongst diverse groups
  • English fluency is required; proficiency in Ukrainian and/or Russian strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of Ukrainian culture, history, and politics is preferred
