Summary

Eurasia Foundation (EF) is accepting applications for a social entrepreneurship expert to coach students working on innovative projects and assist them to build/expand their startups that aim to benefit persons with disabilities (over a duration of 10 weeks). EF is seeking individuals with experience and expertise in building social enterprises and startups with a focus on addressing unmet human rights needs of a marginalized community. Knowledge of disability rights is a plus. The expert is responsible to coach new entrepreneurs as they build social enterprises and startups to increase accessibility and equality of opportunity for persons with disabilities (PwD).

 

Duties

  • Build a strong rapport with participants
  • Instruct distance learning and coaching and interact with course participants on a daily basis
  • Assist participants to identify feasible milestones for improving their social enterprises to benefit persons with disabilities 
  • Monitor student progress and provide guidance and effective feedback 
  • Support participants through key decision points and unforeseen challenges in different phases of their start-up lifecycle 
  • Assist participants to identify innovative solutions for accessing financial resources and launch their social enterprises 
  • Further information about this coaching course will be discussed during the interview process

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, industrial engineering, management, marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience of running an enterprise, preferably a social enterprise. Experience of social enterprises to benefit persons with disabilities is a plus
  • Proven training and facilitation skills
  • Excellent coaching and mentoring skills
  • Positive can-do attitude
  • Fluency in written and spoken Farsi is required. Fluency in written and spoken English is a plus
