Subject Matter Expert and Training Content Designer for an Advocacy Training Course for Women in Afghanistan

Eurasia Foundation (EF) is seeking an experienced expert on policy and community advocacy to design a highly participatory training for female community leaders in Afghanistan. The training will include multiple workshops to help participants understand the basics of policy and community advocacy, identify community needs and priorities, and design actionable advocacy plans. The training will include a coaching period to support participants to execute their advocacy campaigns.  


  • Work with EF and its local partner to assess training needs and capacity of participants;
  • Design a highly participatory training curricula on policy and community advocacy, and producing training materials in Farsi/Dari;
  • Design real-life assignments for participants to design and conduct their advocacy campaigns while attending the training course.
  • Introduce additional resources as secondary reading materials as necessary;
  • Design the pre- and post-training exams in order to ascertain the knowledge gained by participants.
  • Work with EF and its local partner to prepare for delivery of the training, including the coaching period.


  • Minimum Master’s degree or equivalent in public administration, social science, women studies or a related area;
  • Demonstrated experience in women’s right advocacy in Afghanistan;
  • Strong background in developing and conducting training courses and ToT methodology;
  • Ideal candidates have experience working with Afghanistan’s not-for-profit organizations.
  • Fluency in written and spoken Farsi/Dari a must.
