Summary

Eurasia Foundation (EF) is seeking an experienced expert on training of trainers (ToT) to design and deliver a highly participatory online workshop for trainers that will work with  not-for-profit organizations that focus on vulnerable communities. The workshop will help participating trainers to improve their skills in course design and facilitation for virtual training environment. The online workshop will include participatory exercises such group discussions, games or illustrated presentations empowering participants to develop practical course content and adapt it to the needs of their learners. An ideal candidate should be able to work with EF to design the workshop in the last quarter of 2020 and deliver it during the first quarter of 2021. 

Duties

​• Assess training needs and capacity of participants.
• Design an online ToT course based on the EF’s pedagogy tailored for virtual training environments for trainers to effectively engage remote learners.
• Provide practical training techniques such as questioning vs. lecturing to facilitate knowledge sharing. 
• Assist participants to design real-life assignments for their trainings to empower participants to create tangible results in their communities.
• Deliver the training-of-trainer course through ten to twelve online sessions.  
• Respond to participants and staff inquiries within a 24-hour period. 
• Introduce additional resources to participants as secondary reading materials as necessary. 
• Follow up with participants on their assignments and weekly activities. 
• Evaluate the pre and post course exams in order to ascertain the knowledge gained by each participant.
• Provide an assessment framework for the course, including recommendations for changes in content, structure, and activities.
• Submit a final report about each course and participants’ progress.

Qualifications

• Minimum Master’s degree or equivalent in Education or a related area.
• Demonstrated experience in education/facilitation and training the trainer methodology.
• Experience with teaching online learning pedagogy, particularly on social learning and networking in the online format.
• Ideal candidates have experience working with Chinese not-for-profit organizations.
• Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Fluency in written and spoken Chinese is a plus.
