Advocacy During the Pandemic

May 12, 2020

The Civil Society Support Program in Central Asia has stepped up regional collaboration in the midst of the pandemic and brought together over 40 experts from all across Central Asia. While originally planned as an in-person conference hosted in Almaty, the pivot to a digital platform actually boosted participation from across the region. Civil society leaders from Ukraine and Moldova led discussions on how CSOs can partner with government in responding to the pandemic and advocate for patient care. The webinar featured Transparency International Ukraine’s Viktor Nestulia (ECA at Open Contracting Partnership) and Konstantin Cearanovski (Generatia Cu Initiativa) who both shared best practices from mobilizing civil society in their own countries.
