Overview

Eurasia Foundation (EF) is seeking consultants to support EF in interviewing exchange program participants applying for a study abroad experience in the United States. As a lead moderator, consultants will lead and moderate interview meetings, track time, and enter assessment on the review portal. Consultants will be expected to conduct around 40-45, 20-minute interviews via Zoom.                                                

All consultants will be provided with a set of clear guidelines and instructions well in advance of the interviews. Interviews are tentatively set to be held in January 2025. Interviews are held in two-hour slots each day, typically Monday to Friday from 8:00am/9:00am to 10:00am/11:00am EST. Depending on the consultant’s time zone, EF may have the ability to accommodate different time slots.  All interviews will be conducted in English. 


Essential Function 

  • Act as a moderator for interviews – leading the interview team, keeping track of time, and ensuring all questions are asked of applicants in accordance with EF’s guidance;  
  • Score applicants consistently using the program guidelines and provided platform; 

Education & Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in international relations, international education, education, or a related field preferred. Open to recent graduates and undergraduate students in their senior year of study;
  • Experience interacting with international students and/or experience studying abroad. Knowledge and understanding of Eurasian region preferred but not required;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Knowledge of Russian is preferred but not required and won’t be a determining criterion for selection
  • Ability to fairly and objectively score applicants based on overall fit for the program.
